Read by a real person
Not scanned. Not generated. Read.
Your photographs aren’t passed through an automated fortune generator. A human reader studies both hands before preparing your personal interpretation.
The lines we carry
Four lines. Thousands of stories.
These are traditional interpretations rather than scientific claims. What a reader actually does is weigh them against one another — and against the other hand.
Left
Right
Two hands, compared
Why both hands?
Traditional palmists often compare both hands rather than interpreting one photograph in isolation. The differences between them can become part of the reading.
Your two hands are not identical. A reader notices the difference — and often it is the gap between them that carries the most information.
Where this comes from
An old practice, read slowly.

The Reading
Two people, a low table, and an unhurried hour. The practice has changed less than the century around it.

Reading hands is one of the older things people do to one another. In China it is called 手相 — literally the appearance of the hand — and it sits inside a wider tradition of reading a person by their features.
Its foundational text, 麻衣相法, is attributed to a Daoist known only as 麻衣 — “the hemp-robed” — writing from the Five Dynasties into the early Song. Printing spread through the Song, and the manuals spread with it.
None of this is a science, and this site will not pretend otherwise. It is an interpretive practice with a long memory, and it is treated here as one.
Heaven, humanity, earth
The three lines English palmistry calls heart, head and life are traditionally read in Chinese as 天紋, 人紋 and 地紋 — the 三才, the Three Powers. The same three creases, named for the three things the old cosmology thought everything was made of.
- 天tiān
Heaven
The heart line
The uppermost of the three, running across the palm beneath the fingers.
- 人rén
Humanity
The head line
The middle line, crossing the palm and sloping gently as it goes.
- 地dì
Earth
The life line
The curve that arcs around the base of the thumb. Its length is not a lifespan.

The Hemp-Robed
A working scholar, not a mystic. The tradition was carried by people who read, copied and argued about manuals.

What the tradition asks for is attention, and attention takes an unhurried hour.
That is the part this service keeps. Your photographs are studied by a person, at a desk, with time — which is the only way any of it was ever done.

The Hand at a Glance
The first thing worth saying about this pair of hands is that they do not match, and that the difference is the interesting part. The left palm is the quieter of the two — its lines sit closer together, and the skin between them is smooth and unhurried. The right is busier. More small lines cross it, and the major lines are pressed a little deeper, as though this hand has done more of the deciding.
In traditional palmistry the non-dominant hand is often taken as what a person began with, and the dominant hand as what they have made of it. Read that way, these two palms describe someone whose outward life has been more eventful than their inward temperament would have predicted.
Heart
The Heart Line runs long here, curving up towards the base of the index finger rather than ending flat beneath the middle one. Palmists have traditionally associated that upward reach with someone who attaches deliberately rather than easily — slow to begin, and then wholly committed once begun.
Near its end the line divides into two fine branches. A fork in the Heart Line is usually read as a capacity to hold two things at once: warmth and judgement, or affection and self-protection. It is not traditionally taken as a sign of division or loss. In practice, people with this marking are often described as the ones others confide in.
Mind
The Head Line begins slightly apart from the Life Line rather than joined to it. That small gap has a long history of interpretation, and it is usually read as independence established early — a person who made their own judgements before it was strictly comfortable to do so.
The line itself travels a long way across the palm before sloping gently down. A long Head Line is traditionally associated with thoroughness rather than speed: the tendency to turn a question over completely before answering it. The gentle slope at its end suggests that this thinking is not purely practical — imagination is allowed into the room.

Your reader
The person who reads your hands matters.
Every reading on this site is prepared by one person, working alone. Your photographs are not distributed to a pool of readers, and nothing is written by a machine.
Their full profile will be published here rather than summarised second-hand. If you would like to ask about their background before ordering, write to hello@futurepalmreading.com.
Privacy
Your hands stay private.
Photographs of your hands are personal. They are treated that way in the architecture, not only in the copy.

FAQ
Questions people ask first.
Is this actually read by a person?
Yes. Your photographs are opened and studied by a human palm reader, who writes your interpretation themselves. Nothing is passed through an automated fortune generator, and no part of your reading is machine-written.
Is the artwork on this site AI-generated?
Some of it, yes — and it is labelled wherever it appears. The four ink plates were generated from written art direction, then reviewed and either kept or thrown out by a person; two were thrown out. Everything else you see — the palm diagrams, the seal, the mark, the landscape, the paper — is drawn in code. None of this touches the readings. Your reading is studied and written by a person, and no image on this site is ever generated from your photographs.
Which hand should I send?
Both. Traditional palmists compare the two hands rather than interpreting one in isolation, and the differences between them often become part of the reading. Photographs of both palms are required.
How should I photograph them?
Open your hand naturally, hold the camera directly above your palm, and use bright, soft light — daylight near a window works well. Keep the whole palm and all your fingers inside the frame, avoid flash glare and heavy shadows, and skip filters. After payment you get a short illustrated guide showing exactly what helps and what to avoid.
Can palmistry predict my exact future?
Palmistry is a traditional interpretive practice rather than a scientifically proven method for predicting specific future events. Readings are intended for reflection, curiosity and entertainment.
Can I ask specific questions?
Yes, and your reader answers them directly in the reading. Essential includes 1 question, Complete includes 3, and Deep includes up to 5.
How long will it take?
Readings are usually delivered within 3–5 days of your photographs arriving. Because a person is writing each one, the exact timing varies — you'll be told your delivery window when you submit, and you can check your order page at any time.
Are my photographs private?
Yes. Your photographs are stored in private storage that is never publicly accessible, filed under a random identifier rather than your name, and viewed only by your reader. They are never used for marketing without your explicit permission.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no password. Your order and your finished reading live at a private link that only you receive, sent to the email address you use at checkout.
What happens to my photos later?
Your photographs are kept only as long as they are operationally needed, and no longer than 90 days after your reading is delivered. Deletion is carried out on request and as part of routine housekeeping — write to hello@futurepalmreading.com and they will be removed. We don't claim an automatic scheduled deletion job, because one isn't running yet.
